Connectors for PLM 10.6.0 Now Available

We are pleased to announce the Connectors for PLM 10.6.0 release, which addresses customer reported issues and includes a number of new features and platform support listed below.

  • New Aras Innovator variable “ConnectorStoreTransformation” will store the transformation matrix as a property of the BOM Instance relationship.
  • New Aras Innovator variable “ConnectorInventorAllowEdit” will allow the user to make any in session changes without locking the model.
  • New xClass tab in the Hierarchy Explorer – Item Information pane displays the xProperties of the selected items.
  • AML queries used by the Connector have been optimized to include the specific property names instead of the wild card.
  • The Connector now allows users to retrieve multiple hierarchies in a single Retrieve operation.
  • The Connector will display the filtered list as an intended list, which makes easier to visually make selections in the cascaded list.
  • WebSocket has been introduced to communicate from Aras Innovator to the Connector.
  • Support of inactive Items in the Aras list.
  • Performance improvements to the Register operation.

As a reminder, when installing the Connectors for PLM, please run the ConnectorServerConfig.exe utility to update the server to the latest Connector packages. Refer to the Connector Installation Guide for more information.

BOM to CAD Webinar – Wednesday, January 10th:

Essig PLM is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00AM EST that highlights the new BOM to CAD feature. During this presentation, Essig PLM will demonstrate how companies can proactively create a Bill of Materials driven by the Aras Innovator rules engine which can then be used to construct the CAD design – essentially BOM-driven CAD – via direct Connectors to Aras PLM.

Topics that will be discussed include 150% BOM, Variant Management, Effectivity and CAD design.
