Connectors for PLM 9.2 Now Available

We are pleased to announce the Connectors for PLM 9.2 release, which addresses customer reported issues and includes new features and platform support listed below.

  • New SolidWorks Connector Branch and Merge operations enable the user to perform sandbox designs on their SolidWorks CAD files. This is accomplished by identifying a SolidWorks Part or Assembly file (source) and creating independent branch designs that are related back to the source files.
  • Viewables tab on the Hierarchy Explorer – Item Information supports multiple viewables.
  • New Filter row in the Hierarchy Explorer is useful for viewing specific assemblies and components in large assemblies.
  • New Refresh Item Status in Modified Copies dialog.

Important Notes:

Customers that have customized the “Family Part Number Format” setting (updated in Connector 9.1) in one or more Projects, should update this setting in all of the Projects to include the appropriate separator. Please refer to the Connector 9.1 Release Notes for additional information.

A webinar highlighting the Branch / Merge functionality and upcoming Connector releases will be scheduled in June.

  • Support for Creo 8, 7 and 6

As a reminder, when installing the Connectors for PLM, please run the ConnectorServerConfig.exe utility to update the server to the latest Connector packages. Refer to the Connector Installation Guide for more information.
